April RS Activity

We hope to see you at the next activity in April.  Please come and join us.

In thinking ahead....way ahead.  We are planning a service project and making blessing bags for the homeless later in the year.  Start saving and collecting the following items:

-travel size bottles of shampoo and conditioner

-soap bars/body wash

-travel size toothpaste

-tube socks

-toothbrush

-small packs of gum

-hard candy

-chapstick

If you or your husband travels, have them start collecting the hotel shampoo/conditioners/ect...

February Activity

There will be 2 classes offered and you pick which one to go to. Come out a learn something new!

New Year=New Activities

We are in the middle of planning the year of activities.  Please be on the look out for what's coming.  There is no RS activity for next week.

Remember the ward's Linger Longer this Sunday after church.

December Christmas Relief Society Activity

This will be at the Helotes Building in the RS room.  

We are collecting stories about service experience you have had with how another sister who has been an "angel" in your life and "saved" you or your family in some small way. 

Please give them to a member of the RS presidency or send them to Mandy Moore at moorefunstories@gmail.com.  They will be shared annomously.

Service Project Update

I wanted to let y'all know how much the Children's Hospital of San Antonio appreciated the busy book donations.  I dropped them off last Wednesday to the hospital.  Thank you ALL for the donations and for those that helped put them together.  We were able to make 300 busy books (crayons and coloring pages) and 75 creative books (spiral notebook, watercolors, pen and/or markers, bubbles, stickers).

I am putting in an order for the glass tile necklaces and key fobs.  If you want to do one, but have not odered one let me know by tomorrow... Wed, Oct. 1st.

Here we go.  Below are the available crafts to sign up for.  In addition to the crafts, we will have a "how to class" on making burlap wreathes where you bring your own supplies or just come and watch.  I will put the info below on that class.  We will also do our service project for the Children's Hospital of San Antonio (info listed below).  You will have the opportunity to sign up the next 2 Sundays.

Souper Saturday!

I am "souper" excited to put out the display of crafts and sign up sheets this Sunday.  We will only have sign up sheets out for the next 2 Sundays.  Make sure you stop by the RS room to see all the fun stuff.  Laurels are invited.  Please keep bringing all the donations in for the service project.  The collection boxes will be there Sunday.  Let me know if you have any questions.

"Souper" Saturday

Saturday, Oct. 18th

9am-12pm

Soup and Salads will be served around 11am.  

Please join us for lunch even if the other activities do not fit into your schedule.

Look for the display of all the crafts and sign up sheets on Sunday, Sept 21st.  

This is a fun time to get together with each other and craft, eat, and serve!  Invite your friends.

I will post the pictures of the crafts on this blog as soon as I can.  

Super Saturday Service Project

Thank you sisters for the donations for the busy books for the Children's Hospital of San Antonio.  Look for the boxes at church.  They will be located by the chapel doors before church and then will be moved to RS room.  We will continue to collect until Super Saturday!!
